Decluttering & Hoarding Clearance

Many people and housing organisations especially Councils and Housing Associations struggle when it comes to managing homes that are occupied by residents who have cluttering and hoarding tendencies.

What is Hoarding

Hoarding happens when someone acquires numerous items and stores them in a disorganised manner. Clutter on the other hand refers to a lot of things left lying about in an untidy state within the home environment. Usually, the hoarded or cluttered items are of insignificant value.

The amount of hoarded or cluttered items present problems when there is interference with everyday living. In some cases, the individual will end up not able to access parts of their home, for example the kitchen, bathroom or other bedrooms. This often leads to strained relationships, distress, unhappiness or even depression. In almost all cases a combination of hoarding and clutter poses serious fire and pest risks.

At Virtuous Hygiene we help people from all walks of life including institutions such as Councils and Housing Associations manage and maintain their properties in tidy as well as habitable conditions.
